Most furniture stores are able to keep their costs down by not only using fake wood, but paying under waged employees overseas. For us, quality starts at the lumber yard. Each hardwood board used has been properly kiln-dried and hand selected to ensure our standard is upheld. Quality materials is the foundation to first-rate craftsmanship.

Having a piece of furniture for a few years versus a lifetime, often comes down to joinery methods. While screws have their place, we like to exercise a variety of joinery methods. Whether its mortise/tenon, half laps, or even screws-all methods are utilized based on the function of the joining pieces.

“A piece of furniture is only as good as its finish.” The age-old saying still rings true today. We use top shelf finishes on all of our projects, based on its intended use. Arguably as equally important, is the prep job. A great deal of attention & care is taken during the prepping phase.
